BENJI 4 Movie Collection DVD + Digital HD #Review #Benji

BENJI 4 Movie Collection DVD + Digital HD

If you are looking for a great movie DVD set that the whole family can watch I would recommend Benji 4 Movie Collection from Mill Creek Entertainment.

Disclosure: I received free product for review purposes and all opinions expressed here are my own.

This movie collection includes four films including Benji, For the Love of Benji. Benji Off The Leash and Benji's Very Own Christmas Story! I had heard of Benji from many years ago but don't remember watching any of the movies so this was fun to get to receive this set from Mill Creek Entertainment.

I watched the first film which starts with Benji, a stray dog that makes his morning routines, after leaving an abandoned house that he lives in. He goes to a house and gets breakfast from a housekeeper, along with two children who really like Benji, although they try to hide him from their father who apparently doesn't want a dog. Later Benji chases a cat up a tree, visits a policeman on the street, and stops to see an elderly gentleman sitiing outdoors in a chair in front of a cafe that he owns. The gentlemen goes inside and brings him a piece of meat for a treat and Benji goes on his way.

Benji travels through town and goes back to his home in the abandoned old house, when he hears some people that are breaking into the house. It sounds like they are looking for a place to live and bring a bag of food with them, which Benji finds when they are looking around the house.

The next day Benji goes through his usual routine going to town and stopping to see his same friends. On his travels back he meets another little stray dog looking through a trash barrel. He shares the piece of meat that the elderly man gave him, then she follows him when he goes back to the home where the housekeeper lives with the two children and their father.

Benji scratches on the door for the housekeeper to come and shows off his new girlfriend. The housekeeper is impressed with his new friend and brushes her to look nice for him. Afterwards, the two dogs go running through grass and stop to smell flowers growing and chasing butterflies. It's like a doggie romance blossoming!

It is so sweet watching him take the lead and her following him to his home in the abandoned house. They look through the bag of groceries that the people who broke into the house left on the floor, and Benji find an open pudding cup which his friend and he enjoys, until they hear noise and the people come back to the house with another guy with them. It sounds like they are up to something and the new guy says the house will work perfect for them.

Later it shows the two dogs on the steps of the house with the kids. The kids want to keep Benji and the father says he'll get them a dog but doesn't want them to have Benji because he doesn't know where he's been or anything about him. The kids enjoy playing with Benji and his girlfriend, and the dogs go on their way back to the old house.

A couple of the guys come back to the house and one of them notices a pudding cup missing that he left half eaten. He wonders what has happened to it and the other guy doesn't seem concerned about it. All of a sudden one of the other guys and a girl from their group bring in the girl and boy that are friends with Benji.

They have kidnapped the children and have them gagged. Benji watches them with them not seeing him and knows the kids are in trouble. He goes alone to their home and scratches on the door but nobody answers. He gets the door open and goes in the house where the father, housekeeper and police are there because of the kidnapped children, with a ransom letter lying on a table.

The housekeeper takes him outdoors and says she doesn't have time to play with him because they have troubles. Benji gets back in the house with the people unaware of him watching them behind a plant. An FBI man comes to the door and they show him the ransom letter. When he lays it on a table Benji runs and grabs it in his mouth, then runs out of the house with everyone chasing him. They get ahold of Benji and get the ransom letter, asking the housekeeper if she wants them to call the dog pound. She says no and tells Benji to go home or wherever he goes to.

Benji sadly starts walking back and sees a policeman go into a building. When somebody opens the door he runs in to find him but a door closes before he can get into a room. He gets locked in the building but luckily someone sees him when they lock up and he is barking on a speaker by a window. The guy unlocks the door and lets Benji out and he goes running back to his abandoned house where the bad people have the kids held for ransom.

He sees the first ransom note that they wrote and had thrown on away lying on the floor and gets it in his mouth and makes a run for it. The bad guys go chasing him with no luck. Benji gets to the kids' home with the note and the girl that is in with the bad guys is there asking if there was anything she can do. Apparently she had known the family. She sees the ransom note in Benji's mouth and grabs it saying it is just a shopping list and puts it in her purse. When she is going out the door Benji grabs her purse and the note comes out. The housekeeper reads what it says and gives it to the father. He asks the woman where his kids are and Benji starts barking.

Benji takes the lead and they all start following him running down streets. As you can imagine, it is a happy ending with Benji leading them to the house and finding the kids.

I enjoyed this film and think it would be a nice for family time with your children. I'm looking forward to watching the other three movies with Benji in it.

Forgotten Heroes - The Robert Hartsock Story DVD & Digital ~ #Review #MillCreekEntertainment

Forgotten Heroes - The Robert Hartsock Story

Disclosure: I received free product for review purposes and all opinions expressed here are my own.

Forgottten Heroes The Robert Hartsock Story is a DVD and Digital that I recently received from Mill Creek Entertainment to review. It is a documentary telling about the story of the only military dog handler that has ever received the Medal of Honor, which is the highest personal military decoration.

It tells of 10,000 lives that were saved in Vietnam, with the aid of 4,000 military dogs and their handlers. SSGT Robert Hartsock was the only handler ever to receive the Medal of Honor, which is the nations highest award.

The beginning starts with President Lyndon Johnson who struggled with the Vietnam War, which was a civil war, unlike WWI and WWII which were based on a country's domination over another.

In Vietnam scouts dogs were used to find the enemy by their smell, hearing and sight. The canine operations were widely unknown to avoid revealing our capabilities to the enemy. Scout dogs were able to find traps laid by the enemies, such as booby traps, a mine or trip wires.

When the Vietnamese found out about the scout dogs and their leaders, they put out a bounty on them.

The documentary went on to tell of Robert Hartsock, who grew up on a farm and had a father who had been in the military. He grew up learning about teamwork, working on the farm and playing in sports. He also had a willing attitude to help others.

Fellow friends that were drafted into the war told of how Hartsock was a great soldier, who could out shoot anyone, and how good he was at push ups. It told of the scout dog program, which Hartsock and others were in, and given their own German Shepherd to train with.

One of the most important things that the soldiers found out was to take excellent care of their dogs, and they took it seriously. They had vets that took care of the needs of the dogs. It told of when one of the dogs died, it was just like a fellow soldier had died.

Various friends and fellow soldiers told of how they got along and their camaraderie. They celebrated Christmas and had a common bond of friendship.

One of the former vets told of how a dog found a sniper in a palm tree. The dogs and their trainers walked along in front of their units. Another told of how when the dogs got over tired, they were just like anyone and let things slip.

It told of February 23, 1969 when Dau Tieng erupted. The base camp that Hartsock was in was under an unexpected and brutal assault by 2 North Vietnamese divisions. A fellow soldier told of how Hartsock and another solder were on top of the bunker with him when a rocket came in behind them and killed civilians. Nearly 20,000 enemies were the most ever seen in their area in over five years.

Not thinking about his own life, Bob Hartsock took it upon himself to throw himself upon a satchel charge and was greatly wounded. He then crawled to a ditch and helped to suppress enemy fire. Another solder (Sgt. Hughes) was then able to get away and was able to alert the tactical operations center what was going on. They were then able to get reinforcements.

SSGT Hartsock gave his life for his fellow soldiers, which was the ultimate gift. Besides his fellow soldiers grieving, Hartsock's scout dog Duke passed away shortly after his handler did. Although he was physically fit he didn't want to eat or drink, and ultimately died of self imposed starvation.

At the end of this documentary it showed actual footage of President Richard Nixon giving a posthumous Medal of Honor to Robert Hartsock's family in a White House ceremony.

This was a very informative documentary and I learned about a true American hero named Robert Hartsock!

APOCALYPSE 4 IN 1 COLLECTION DVD & Digital #Review #MillCreekEntertainment

APOCALYPSE 4 IN 1 COLLECTION DVD & Digital #Review #MillCreekEntertainment

Disclosure: I received free DVD & Digital from Mill Creek Entertainment and all opinions expressed here are my own.

Mill Creek Entertainment has done it again with a great DVD & Digital 2 Disc Set that includes the following movies:

Ghostquake
Arachnoquake
Miami Magma
Weather Wars

The back of the box says: "It's a STORM of EPIC PROPORTIONS when 4 APOCALYPTIC DISASTER MOVIES come together in ONE CATACLYSMIC COLLECTION".

When I received this set in the mail my son happened to see it and was interested in it himself. He likes movies and has a wide collection that he stores in a cabinet of mine. So he had first choice in viewing it.

Ghostquake is from 2012 and sounded like something I would like since Danny Trejo is a favorite actor of mine so I decided on watching that first. It stars Danny Trejo and MC Gainey. Trejo portrays Ortiz, the school janitor and Gainey portrays a deceased head master or principal.

First of all the music was eerily scary. It started out with a group of high school students in a class with the history teacher talking about UFO's and one of the male students is drawing a picture of one of the female students instead of listening.

After class the male student (Quentin) is by his locker and takes a pouch out of it with some coins in it. The girl he was drawing comes by and tells him happy birthday (a day early). She sees the pouch he is holding and grabs them asking what they are and if they are real gold. He replies that they are real gold and real old. She asks if he is going to sell them or something and he says he has something better in mind.

Just then the history teacher comes by the lockers and wants Quentin to help him in the boiler room for a minute, which sounds weird. They go together and pass the janitor who is mopping the floor around the steps. It is a very old school and the teacher says that rumor has it that Quentin's grandfather spent a long time down here too.

He tells Quentin that the original owner of the school building burned at the stake for witchcraft. He then says the force cult is an obsession of his.

The teacher wants to see what Quentin showed Miss Douglas (the female student). When the teacher sees the coins he is amazed and proceeds to tell Quentin that his grandfather had turned half of them into rings because he thought they held a power into the spirit world. He angrily grabs Quentin with both hands telling him "you know what I mean" and the coins drop all over the floor.

After Quentin picks them up the teacher apologizes and Quentin says he has to go, not knowing that the teacher had one of the coins under his shoe. He picks it up and looks carefully at it, when it starts glowing and burns his hands. He drops it and suddenly the walls are rumbling and cracking with bugs coming out of them. Then an old man is standing there which is a school headmaster that has been dead half a century.

In another segment there are a couple of girls out in the hall by the lockers when the coach and principal come along and want them to help with the senior prom. When they walk away one of the girls (Miss Douglas) opens her locker and sees a hand reaching out. She slams the locker and the other girl asks her what the matter is. Miss Douglas says she thinks she is studying too much.

It then shows a librarian in the high school who sees a figure flash by briefly behind aisles of books. She states that the library is closed when a weird looking demon girl appears in front her making growling-like sounds. The librarian falls and seems to be sinking in the floor, then is just lying there looking lifeless with the demon girl looking at her. Scary stuff!

Later on some of the students are unpacking things for decorating the gym for the prom. Quentin leaves the gymnasium to get some chairs and runs into the janitor who asks him where he's going in a mean voice.

In another part, there are some male students who want a bullied student to break into the school to change some of their bad grades on the computers. The poor guy doesn't want to do it but is threatened by them with a knife. There are four guys altogether who climb into some sort of shaft on the side of the school building. It takes them into the cafeteria.

Suddenly the walls start to shake like an earthquake. The last student who is climbing through the shaft gets stuck after the rumbling of the school. He was last because he was smoking a cigarette and said he'd be right there. The other guys who got through first thinks he chickened out and went back so they don't know he is stuck. Suddenly the old man who had been the headmaster there half a century ago appears in the shaft with him. He tells the student that smoking on schools ground is an automatic detention and then you hear yelling and it looks like the inside of the shaft is burning.

Quentin is then shown going into the basement of the school building and finding the teacher that wanted to see his coins lying there dead. In the next segment it goes to the janitor in a room chanting words while looking in a book with symbols in it. Suddenly a young girl appears out of nowhere and he is talking to her but she doesn't speak. He knows her and he asks what they did to her and she shakes her head back and forth. He tells her it is happening now and she nods her head yes.

So far I am enjoying this rather scary and intriguing movie. I am anxious to find out how it ends and am interested in viewing the other 3 movies after that.

You can find the APOCALYPSE 4 IN 1 COLLECTION DVD & Digital at Mill Creek Entertainment for $19.98 and it includes 2 discs with a run time of 5 hours and 49 minutes.

Ancient Secrets of the Bible The Complete Series #Review #MillCreekEntertainment

Disclosure: I received a free DVD & Digital Set from Mill Creek Entertainment and all opinions expressed here are my own.

This DVD & Digital set titled Ancient Secrets of the BIBLE The Complete Series sounded like something I would be very interested in and I was not disappointed to say the least. It comes with 3 discs and includes a lot of information from the bible, with questions and different theories from doctors and authors.

I started watching disc 1 and it shows man landing on the moon. Then it goes on to tell of Genesis, which is the first book of the bible. It tells of the first man and woman of the bible - Adam and Eve, which God created.

It goes on with different doctors and authors telling their opinions of Adam and Eve and if they think it is a myth or fact. One doctor tells that there was nothing before God created the universe. The narrator says that for many the bible is accepted but asks the question if it could be evolution. It shows some evolutionists that dispute the bible. One of them was Charles Darwin, who wrote a book in 1859 that told about evolution. It tells of chemicals that changed in the universe and that's how evolution occurred. It also told that Darwin said his book was just speculation.

There is another doctor which tells about fossils that have been dug up which were reptiles and he says they transitioned into birds. It tells and shows pictures of  neanderthal men and a man tells of skulls they have found and that they were deformed from old age or rickets. Some bones were bent over so people thought that was the "missing link".

In another segment it tells of the oldest skeleton that has been found which is named "Lucy" which was found in 1974. They say that she stood 3 feet 6 inches tall and was very chimpanzee-like. The only human like features were her hips and knee joints and is very controversial. A doctor said it wasn't a "missing link" but only an unusual monkey.

Another doctor tells that data from DNA has been helpful in telling that we all came from one woman, although the dates are controversial. I found it very interesting that he said they can trace the DNA of females to "mitochondria Eve".  He also said that they found out in 1998 that mitochondria DNA changes 20 times faster than previously assumed, which was something very intriguing to think about.

Some of the other subjects in this set include Noah's Ark, Moses' Ten Commandments, Dead Sea Scrolls, Gold's Holy Ark. Last Supper Artifacts, Shroud of Turin and The Rapture...plus so much more!

So far I am enjoying this DVD set very much and look forward to viewing the whole set, which includes 3 discs. By the way, this set  runs for 17 hours and 33 minutes. The cover also says is is "Winner of 19 Prestigious National Family Film Awards for Excellence".

LAUREL & HARDY Comedy Collection DVD & Digital #Review #MillCreekEntertainment

Disclosure: I received free DVD & Digital for review purposes and all opinions expressed here are my own.

If you have never heard of Mill Creek Entertainment before, they have movies and television shows of every genre you are looking for. Recently I had the pleasure to relive some of their films on LAUREL & HARDY Comedy Collection DVD & Digital, which was from Mill Creek Entertainment.

LAUREL & HARDY Comedy Collection DVD & Digital is an informative 2 disc set which shows silent films from their early days together and other fundraisers; plus a WWII propaganda film which is a rarity to view and very interesting. It also includes films before they were a team, which is odd to see, because I'm used to watching them together.

So far my favorite film is The Flying Deuces which starts off with Ollie having a girlfriend named Georgette who he is planning on proposing to, when she tells him there is someone else in her life. He is heartbroken and ties a rope around his waist with a large brick attached. He ties the rope around Stan also to jump in the Seine River and drown themselves. He explains to Stan that all he's done for him he should jump in with him. They talk about what they would like to be if they were reincarnated and Ollie says he would like to be a horse.

When the guy who is married to Georgette (who is a Foreign Legion officer) sees what they are about to do, Ollie tells him about his woman troubles. He doesn't know that the officer is married to Georgette. The officer tells him to join the Legion to forget his troubles and that's what they decide to do.

It is a funny scene when they are marching with the other soldiers and they get all mixed up in it. Then they ask the officer when lunch is. They end up getting punished and are doing laundry and ironing for the whole group of soldiers, and have rows of laundry hanging up on clothes lines. When the guards come and see them slacking off they tell them to get back to work. Then Ollie knocks over the iron and it starts a whole mound of laundry on fire.

Stan and Ollie decide that they are going to leave because Ollie says he is over Georgette and has forgotten her. They get their regular clothes on and start to leave with their suitcases. They go to the officer's quarters to leave him a note on his desk that they are leaving.

A hilarious part is when they are walking out of the army camp and there are some guys playing instruments. Ollie starts singing "Harvest Moon" while Stan dances. Anyways, they get caught for deserting and are sent to prison. They are found guilty and are to be shot at sunrise.

While in their jail cell, Stan takes the bed spring and starts to play it like a harp, which is pretty amusing. At the end they escape and start an airplane, driving it around with the guards running after them. They start flying in the air and the steering wheel comes off, then a parachute gets tangled around Ollies's face. The airplane keeps flying and they finally crash, showing Ollie as an angel going up in the sky. Later it shows Stan walking down a lane, and a voice like Ollie's calls out to him. It is Ollie, reincarnated as a horse. Ollie says, "here's another fine mess you've gotten me into to"

If you like Laurel and Hardy, this would be a great disc set for you. I have always been a fan of them and am really enjoying it.

My Thoughts:

When I saw the title of this DVD I really didn't know anything about it. I didn't know that it was all about parodies of documentaries. I was thinking that it was just about original documentaries. I was really surprised to find out it about parodies! There are 14 episodes which included seasons 1 and 2.

When I started watching it I thought it was hilarious! The actors Fred Armisen and Bill Hader from Saturday Night Live are really entertaining and it kept my attention. I wanted to keep watching it right from the beginning. These guys are great comedians which make a serious documentary form so funny.

Besides Armisen and Hader, I liked viewing Jack Black (one of my favorites). He is always so funny in any movie I've seen. I don't know how they can keep a straight face when filming these. They make it seem so serious while being funny.

So far I'm on Season One and am liking this DVD and would recommend it.

If you like parodies of films, you can find it on Mill Creek Entertainment right now for $24.98.

Watch Around The Clock in Color ~ 24 Hours of Shows, Movies, Cartoons, and Commercials

Recently I had the pleasure to get to review a DVD set called Watch Around The Clock ~ 24 Hours of Shows, Movies, Cartoons, and Commericials which had some great nostalgic shows that I remember from childhood and still watch some of them to this day.

Guess What! I got another DVD set to review with the same title, only some awesome different television shows, movies, cartoons and commercials. It is called Watch Around The Clock in Color. Actually, the one I received is a little different than the one on the Mill Creek Entertainment website. I don't know if they changed it but I really liked what I received.  This set has 4 discs and includes the following titles:

Disc One:  Kids's Clubhouse

The Proud Rebel

Some of these shows I remembered from my childhood, such as Popeye, Gumby, Gulliver's Travels, The Lone Ranger, The Lucy Show, Bonanza and Mannix. It was like taking a trip back in time watching some of these old shows and cartoons. They are feel good shows which are great for the whole family to watch together!

I always liked the cartoon Popeye and it's just as funny as it was when I was little. Also I remember watching The Lucy Show on television because Lucy was always so comical and got in such predicaments.

Other memories of mine include watching The Lone Ranger and Bonanza which were great cowboy or western shows. I still watch Bonanza occasionally on reruns on television.

Some of my favorite actors in the Midnight Movie Marathon include Donna Reed, Gregory Peck, Van Johnson Ava Gardner, Olivia de Havilland, Elizabeth Taylor, to mention a few.

The approximate running time of the entire lineup of shows is 24 hours. The shows are all in color and are not rated. There is also a bonus digital access plus a holiday DVD that you can get when you purchase this set.

SYNOPSIS

Wilder is Comedy Magic!
HANKY PANKY
(1982) - Color - 107 minutes - PG
Gene Wilder, Gilda Radner, Kathleen Quinlan
On the run, falling in love and up to their necks in funny business!
"their spark was unmistakable" - People Magazine
From director Sidney Poitier (Stir Crazy), enjoy a Hitchcock-style thriller blended with a unique romantic comedy.  Starring Gene Wilder as an innocent bystander turned victim turned hero, and Gilda Radner (TV's Saturday Night Live) who falls for him while looking for her brother's murderers. Together they're caught in a race of their lives in the first of their three on-screen collaborations
My Thoughts:
One of the funniest comedians that I have enjoyed is Gene Wilder, who sadly passed away not too long ago. If you are a fan you'll remember Wilder in Young Frankenstein, that hilarious spoof on the original Frankenstein movie from way back when. Wilder's real life wife was Gilda Radner who stars in Hanky Panky, and the two actually met while filming this movie. Hanky Panky is a suspense type film but I also like the romantic comedy between the pair (Radner and Wilder). He stars as Michael Jordan, an architect who is innocent but everyone thinks has killed a woman who he has met in a cab. There is mysterious package involved which is what everybody wants and Richard Widmark (another favorite actor of mine) portrays Ransom on the chase after him, along with other bad guys. I thought it was an out of the ordinary movie for Wilder but enjoyed watching him and Radner together in it together.

ANOTHER YOU
(1991) - Color - 94 minuntes - R
Richard Pryor, Gene Wilder, Mercedes Ruehl
One Lies For Fun. The Other Lies For Money. Now That's Teamwork.
"one of the movies' great comedy teams" - Los Angeles Times
In their fourth comic outing together following the classics Silver Streak, Stir Crazy, and See No Evil, Hear No Evil - Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder are up to more funny business as a couple of liars who can't seem to kick the habit. Co-starring Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King), Stephen Lang(Don't Breathe, Avatar) and an early performance by Vanessa Williams (Soul Food, TV's Ugly Betty)

My Thoughts:
The other film on this DVD is Another You which stars Gene Wilder and another great comedian - Richard Pryor. Richard Pryor was a stand up comedian and actor. Some of his movies you may remember is Bustin' Loose and Greased Lightning. Wilder and Pryor made four films together and two of my favorites were Stir Crazy and Silver Streak. Another You revolves around Eddie Dash (Pryor) who is an ex-con and a mental patient named George (Wilder) who get together when they're released. Their characters are very wacky and fit together well. Wilder is also known as Abe in the movie. He happens to look identical to a guy with that name and meets a woman who says she's his wife. One of the funny parts I liked in the movie was when George starts yodeling in a restaurant. I also like how Eddie is supposed to be a famous saxophone player and can't play at all but the band seems to think he's great. It was nice seeing Wilder and Pryor in their last movie together, although it wasn't one of their best to me.

You can get the Hanky Panky and Another You Double Feature Comedies DVD for yourself from Mill Creek Entertainment for only $9.98.

Political Dramas DVD from Mill Creek Entertainment ~ #Review

Political Dramas DVD from Mill Creek Entertainment

If you've ever read my blog you'll know that my family loves movies. I'm a drama and mystery movie fan so was intrigued to receive the Political Dramas DVD from Mill Creek Entertainment. This is a great DVD that includes 3 films including All The King's Men, Nixon, and Storyville.

All The King's Men:
All The King's Men has some of my favorite actors in it which include Sean Penn, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, and Anthony Hopkins. This film is based on Robert Penn Warren's Pulizer Prize winning novel from 1946. This film was made in 2006 and is rated PG-13.

Synopsis:
Willie Stark (Penn) is an ordinary man from a rural town, demanding that crooked politicians and
shady businessmen in Louisiana be held accountable for the collapse of a poorly built school.
Urged to run for Governor by a dubious political advisor, Tiny Duffy (James Gandolfini), Starks finds his voice as a charismatic man of the people. He then befriends a young idealistic journalist, Jack Burden (Law), who eventually ends up working for him. But when Stark asks Burden to dig deep for damaging information on an old family friend, Judge Montague Irwin (Hopkins), Burden begins to questions his own morality and Stark's surprising transformation into an inflexible leader that will stop at nothing to remain in power.

I thought this film was alright, although it really didn't hold my attention as well as others. I liked the 1950's settings with the clothes and cars of that era. Sean Penn is a favorite of mine and he's always great to watch him act no matter what film he's in. An enjoyable scene was the skater with Stark (Penn) and Burden (Law) sitting in the audience watching her perform. There was another short scene which was neat, like when Judge Montague Irwin (Anthony Hopkins) shot some prisms off a chandelier. The ending was very surprising when Stark gets assassinated by a gunman.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nixon:
Since I remember when Nixon was president it was interesting to see what this movie told about his life and presidency. It stars some well-known actors including Anthony Hopkins, Joan Allen, Ed Harris and James Woods. The film was made in 1995 and is rated R.

Synopsis:
Nixon is the monumental motion picture that delves into the inner sanctum of a tragic world leader - uncovering his greatest moments and his shattering demise!

Anthony Hopkins stars as Nixon in the film and does a remarkable job I would say. The movie starts off in 1972 at the Watergate Hotel and portrays events that happened there. It also depicted memories from Nixon's childhood and growing up which I found interesting. Anthony Hopkins portrayed Nixon very well, displaying his mannerisms and voice to a tea. The film ended with his resignation and Nixon waving flying off on a helicopter at the White House.

Storyville:

Storyville is a murder mystery which I had not heard of before. It stars James Spader, Joanne Whalley, Jason Robards, and Charlotte Lewis. It was made in 1992 and is rated R.

Synopsis:

The son of a powerful Louisiana family, Cray Fowler (Spader), is a rising political star for whom a moment's weakness threatens a lifetime ambition. Videotaped having sex with a beautiful prostitute (Charolette Lewis), Cray finds himself at the center of a spider's web of blackmail and murder. Forced to defend the woman who betrayed him against the woman he once loved, Cray comes face to face with the dangerous secret that created his family's power-and now threatens his own life. Unpredictable and erotic, Storyville is a modern-day Chinatown: suspenseful, shocking, and utterly seductive.

This was an eery drama which is set in Louisana with the Fowler politial family. I enjoyed watching Jason Robards (Clifford Fowler) and a young James Spader as (Cray Fowler). The story held my attention right away with lots of mystery and suspense. I liked the part where the Lee (Charlotte Lewis) is doing karate on Cray Fowler then they're in a pool being promiscuous. Afterwards the viewer sees that somebody has been videotaping them. It made me want to watch what happens next and watch it to the end.
