The easel legs are made of steel which has a black powder coated finish and looks very attractive. The brackets that hold your picture are black plastic and the footings are made of rubber, which helps to keep your surface from damage or scratching.
I tried out the easel with a smaller 10-1/2 x 8-1/2 framed picture that was hanging on my wall. The easel displays it nicely with no problem and can hold up to 5 pounds of weight, according to the company. For storage it folds up into 14 inches in length, which is great for easy storage. It would also be great for business people for displaying their work for meetings. It's lightweight and could be transported with no problem.
