We Have Some Flowers

It's been pretty dry around our area but today we had a nice rain which all the plants, crops, and flowers really enjoyed getting. The grass was getting brown in spots where there wasn't any shade and things weren't growing very well. So the rain was really needed. My flowers had raindrops on them when I went out to look at them. I just love flowers - don't you? They are so pretty to the eye and make me happy looking at them.

After the rain I took a few pictures of the flowers that are in bloom right now. Mostly roses and another type of perennial which a neighbor gave me a couple of years ago.

They are kind of unusual and are the purple colored ones shown below. I can't remember what the name of them are but they have spread - which I love about perennials. You don't have to plant them every year and they keep coming back.

I also have daisies that have buds on them and the cosmos are starting to grow taller also. I planted cosmos seeds many years ago and the seeds drop in the fall when they dry up. They keep coming back every year are very pretty colors.

Do you have any flowers? What type of flower is your favorite?

  1. Wow, what beautiful flowers! You took great pictures of them, even capturing the rain drops on the red one and the buds getting ready to bloom in the background of the pink rose. I have one rose plant with flowers on it right now, and the other 2 don't have any flowers yet. I also have some succulents blooming.
