I have had the opportunity to review a couple of products in the past from Cave Tools. I've tried their 3 Piece Stainless Steel BBQ Tool Set and their Pigtail Food Flippers and like how they have worked great and are quality made.

This time I was excited to try their Salad Spinner & Large Serving Bowl Set. It comes in a white color with blue accents which looks attractive. This salad spinner can be used for lettuce and all your leafy greens and so much more besides that. You can even use it for pasta, fruit, veggies and the like. It actually holds more than 3 quarts of veggies, according to Cave Tools.

It's important to wash your vegetables or fruit because of all the pesticides and chemicals that are sprayed on crops these days. I've read that pesticides can cause some types of cancer, autism, asthma, and even birth defects, so it's important to wash all of your produce before consuming.

To use the salad spinner all you do is put your food items in the basket to wash your veggies or whatever you are using. It has a convenient vented lid to pour out the water before your start to use the spinner. After draining the water you just turn the handle on the lid and it gets all the excess water off really nicely. You end up with nice dry veggies. Who likes soggy lettuce, right? 

A nice feature about this spinner is that is has stoppers on the bottom of it so it doesn't move around when using it, and stays in place on your counter. It's also dishwasher safe which makes it convenient to get clean after using.

Since I wanted to try the salad spinner right away I used it on some pasta shells that I had in the pantry to make some tuna salad.

After cooking the pasta I poured it in the basket, then drained the excess water. Then I easily turned the handle until the pasta was dry. The pasta turned out very nice and ready to prepare. It was easier than using a colander which takes longer and you have to wait till it all drips through the holes.

I'm very happy with my new Salad Spinner & Large Serving Bowl Set from Cave Tools and can't wait to use it on lettuce and other items. This is a great kitchen product that I'll be using quite often!
