CAHAYA Melodica FDA Approved Piano Style #CahayaMelodica #Review #Cahaya

CAHAYA MELODICA

Disclosure: I received free product for review purposes and all opinions expressed here are my own.

Have you ever played a melodica? I have heard of them but that was the extent of it. I took some piano lessons when I was younger so can play the piano a little, although I haven't for many years.. My daughter also took piano lessons and we gave her our electric piano when she moved into her own apartment.

Recently I had the pleasure to try out another neat product from CAHAYA which is the CAHAYA Melodica. The first thing I noticed about this instrument is that it does not require batteries or electricity, which was a bit of a surprise.

The melodica works with your own windpower! All you do is blow into the white tube and press the keys to play your own tune or song. There are 32 keys on the keyboard and you put a mouthpiece onto the tube to blow to make it work. That's it!

Below is a short video of me trying out the melodica and seeing how it works. I know I'm not good but it was fun playing with it and trying to remember a song I used to know.

The melodica is very lightweight so it's not heavy to carry around and play. Attached to the back of it is a white strap which you can put one hand under if you want to stand and play it. Or you can just place it on a table or flat surface and play it like a regular piano. It only weighs about a pound and a half.

The sound that this melodica makes reminds me of when my dad used to play his accordion years ago and us kids and grandchildren used to watch him play. Those are very good memories.

The melodica could be used by older children or adult alike. It would be great for kids to learn on or just plain have fun. I wouldn't advise it for small children because of the mouthpieces that you attach to the white tube which could be a choking hazard.

In addition to the melodica you get a nice black nylon case to store it in when not in use to keep it clean and dust free. This makes it convenient to take it with you. I would say that the CAHAYA Melodica is a fun toy or beginner instrument.which is a neat little item!

If you would like to check it out for yourself they can be found on Amazon.

Piano Lessons........

When I went to school there were quite a few girls who took piano lessons.  It must have been the thing to do.  My sisters and I all took lessons for quite a few years.  I can read music but I wouldn't say that I'm real great.  When it gets to be the harder music it does get difficult for me.  I don't know if my mom and dad thought we were all going to be like Liberace or what.  The piano still is at my mom's house now just sitting there and out of tune.  My mom has it decorated with framed photos of all the family.  Once in a while when my sister goes to visit mom she plays a song she knows by heart.  I don't know the name of it but I know the tune and she plays it over and over.

When my daughter was young I thought she ought to take piano lessons like her mom and she wanted to try it also. We didn't have a piano or have any space for a piano, so we bought this electric piano.   She took lessons from the 5th to the 12th grade, then she didn't want to go any more.  Neither one of us got to be as good as Liberace, but I'm glad I had a chance to take lessons and I'm glad I gave my daughter a chance to take lessons also.  We learned how to read music and we can play some songs if we want to.
