I love shish kabobs and found the perfect tools to make them with from Cave Tools. The Cave Tools Stainless Steel 17" Skewers are extra strong and come in a set of 10 which is great for a family like mine. 

You can use these on the grill but are also great for the oven when grilling isn't an option, like now in the winter months here in Michigan. It's been snowing like crazy and has been in the single digits. Our grill has been covered till spring comes, which is a while to go!

The skewers come with food slider rings which are great for pushing off the food when you're done grilling or using in the oven. I also like that they are flat and not round like other skewers I have seen. It helps to make the food stay in place and not roll around on the skewers. You also get a red canvas case to store your skewers when not using. The case has a black strap to hang up in your in your kitchen pantry or you could hang it on your grill in the summer. In addition, the flap closes with velcro which is quick and convenient.

Since I just went shopping for the food to make the shish kabobs tonight was the night to make them. I used sirloin steak, onions, fresh mushrooms, and red peppers for my kabobs. First I cut the food in chunks and slid them on the skewers. It was really easy to slide everything on and you can get a lot of meat and veggies on them, since you get 15.5 inches of space.

I lined a cookie sheet with foil and placed my full skewers on it. All I added was salt and pepper but you can marinate your meat if you like. Then placed them in the oven and baked on 350 degrees, checking them every once in a while, making sure to turn them over so they wouldn't burn on one side and were evenly cooked.

My mouth was watering when I took them out of the oven and my husband asked if they were done since he was ready for dinner. He was anxious to try them out also!

The kabobs turned out great and slid off so nicely with the attached ring to push the food off. The skewers are very strong and you won't have to worry about them bending like cheaper ones you may have tried. I'm going to be making shish kabobs quite often using these neat skewers!
