Cosmos Every Summer!

One spring many years ago that I don't even remember when, I bought a couple packages of cosmos flower seeds. It is definitely over 15 years, but probably is more than that.

Well, the flowers came up then and do again every year because of the seeds that fall on the ground after they are dried up. They are so pretty and look like a wild flower garden.

Since we have deer in our back woods we can't really have much of a vegetable garden behind our house because they love to chew/eat off tomato plants and just about anything else. One year we planted 36 tomato plants and the next morning they were all chewed off and all that was left was the stems!

We had planted tomatoes for many years before that in the back but the deer are getting braver and always coming closer. So, my husband started planting some tomato plants in the front of our house a few years ago. The deer don't bother the plants in the front....yet!

He even hoed a bunch of the cosmos out to plant the tomatoes but you can't even tell because there are still so many of them. They are covering the tomato plants but we do have some tomatoes!

If you wonder what that tree is behind me in the picture that is a peach tree which has grown crooked. My husband has tied a branch to another one because it was hanging down too much. He loves trees and when we moved in our house 22 years ago he planted lots of them! I guess you could say he loves trees more than I do. I like trees but he definitely is a tree man!
