OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo ~ Keratin Oil Conditioner ~ Keratin Oil Healing Oil #OGX #Review

OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo ~ Keratin Oil Conditioner ~ Keratin Oil Healing Oil

I've got a situation with my hair! Since I like it short but also want it highlighted, I get my hair cut every three or four weeks and highlighted regularly. It seems like I'm always going to the beauty shop for one thing or the other. The things we women have to do to look our best, right?

Getting my hair highlighted does make my hair dry and feeling like straw occasionally (yes, just like a scarecrow), so I was excited to try out some products from OGX. It came at a great time since I just got my hair highlighted the other day.

The package came delivered very safely and included the following:

OGX Extra Strength Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo
 OGX Keratin Oil Conditioner
Anti-breakage + Keratin Oil Healing Oil

First of all, the Extra Strength Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo comes in a nice flip-top pretty teal blue bottle. It's a generous size bottle too, which includes 13 fluid ounces of product. The front of the bottle says "Repair dry, damaged, brittle tresses. This extra powerful formula with argan oil of Morocco and silk proteins helps to intensely hydrate and lock in moisture to give hair a second chance at silky perfection."

Of course, I had to open the bottle to see how this stuff smelled right away and loved it! It seemed very exotic like an island I'd like to visit some day. I actually had to keep opening it and taking a sniff because of the luscious exotic scent.

This morning I washed my hair and used it for the first time. I only use a dime size amount since my hair is short and thoroughly distributed it through my wet hair. The shampoo is thick and rich. It lathered up a little (maybe since I didn't use much) and rinsed clean.

The OGX Keratin Oil Conditioner comes in a pretty fushia color. It also comes in a 13 fluid ounce bottle with a flip-top cap. This scent is not like the shampoo but is also great for the olfactory senses! Like the shampoo, it has a thick rich feel to it.The front of the bottle says "Endulge in this fortifying blend with keratin proteins and argan oil. This blend helps to resist breakage caused by brushing and styling, while enhancing a luminescent shine. Discover strands that are strengthened from within and nourished throughout for longer, stronger hair."

After shampooing, I rinsed my hair and applied some of the Keratin Oil Conditioner (about a dime size amount once again). I massaged it through my hair, making sure to get to the ends. Then I let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing clean with warm water. I could already feel my hair felt smoother and less brittle than it was before.

The Keratin Oil Healing Oil comes in a 4 fluid ounce spray bottle and is a light golden color. The front of the bottle says "Indulge in this fortifying blend with keratin proteins and argan oil. This blend helps to resist breakage caused by brushing and styling, while enhancing a luminescent shine. Discover strands that are strengthened from within and nourished throughout for longer, stronger hair."

After I had blow-dried my hair it looked healthier and not dried out like it had been. It also felt smoother and didn't feel like straw anymore! What an amazing thing! I'm not one to use an oil on my short hair but let my niece use the Keratin Oil Healing Oil product. She has long, curly hair that gets unruly sometimes and was happy to try it out. The directions say you can use it on damp hair or to tame fly-aways. Lisa spritzed some all over her long hair and was happy with the results. Her hair went from being unruly to softer and smoother looking. She also had less fly-aways. I gave her the bottle for trying it out for me and she was pretty happy about it.

Both my niece and I were happy with our results with the OGX products!

  1. That looks like a product I could use! My hair is very dry and hard to control. I could definitely use something to help moisturize it and make it shine and easy to manage. It sounds like the scent is really nice too. I also like the packaging, it looks pretty. Thanks for the review.
