A Huge Pokemon and Ghostbusters Too!

My son had the day off from work yesterday and drove a couple of hours away so he could go to Dave and Busters. Yes, that's a long way to drive but he is 25 years old and doesn't have a girlfriend to spend money on, so what the heck! A couple of weeks ago he visited his sister and they went to one near Grand Rapids but he said it is smaller than the one he went to near Detroit.

If you have never been to a Dave and Busters before like me, Travis said they have arcade games and it's a lot of fun. He said it's a lot better than Chuck E Cheese - which we used to go to occasionally when the kids were little. Travis wanted me to go along with him but I really didn't feel like driving two hours. It does sound like fun, so maybe I'll go some day but it's a long way from our little town.

Well, when Travis got home he came walking in the house with a huge stuffed animal in front of him and had a big smile on his face. He reminded me of a little boy with a new toy, ha. Well, I guess that is kind of what it was to him. I didn't know what it was right away, but knew it looked familiar and guessed it right - a Pokemon! He also won a little Pokemon to go along with the giant one - kind of like a baby one compared to the big one.

When he went to the Dave and Buster's near Grand Rapids he won some Ghostbusters pillows and stuffed toys. I don't know where he's going to put all these stuffed toys, since he has quite a collection of them already and doesn't want to get rid of any. Kids will be kids! Even grownups like some type of toys I think!

  1. Sounds like a fun store that my son and husband would love. I will have to see if there is one near us!

  2. That's neat your son still likes to have fun. I'm glad he won something. That would be far for me also, I probably wouldn't have wanted to go either.
