The Little Monkey
Our daughter moved a few months ago and had to find an apartment that allows cats. She had been living with her friend but couldn't find a job after graduating from college. Finally Krissy found a full-time job after 2 years and had to move about 2 hours away from where she was living.
It was a big step but you "have to do what you have to do" and go where the jobs are. Her cat Rothko definitely had to move along with Krissy. Yes, it's a different name for a cat but the formers owners of Rothko had named him and it just stuck. Krissy said they had named him after an artist. Krissy loves her cat and sometimes affectionately calls him "Little Monkey".
Last weekend we went to visit Krissy and Rothko and my mother (who is 86 years old) wanted to go along. I told my mom that she would have to go up 3 flights of stairs but she didn't care. She wanted to see her grand-daughter and find out where she lived. By the way, it's about a 3 hour ride from where we live. Also mom can't walk the best and uses a cane (and walker occasionally).
We made it to Krissy's apartment and had a great time being together, along with Rothko. He definitely is a little monkey and is also the king of the castle!
