Unfriendly and Rude People Bother Me

Yesterday I went to the bank for some business.  I could tell right away the woman who waited on me was not a friendly person.  She just had that look!  I'm usually a pretty good judge of people and I was right.  She acted like she was doing me a favor by waiting on me.  If she would have cracked a smile she probably would have broken her face!  I don't understand how people can be like that.  They try to make you look like a dummy when they are the dumb ones.  It took an hour for her to do my banking and it sure was a looooong hour!   People like this shouldn't have a job dealing with the public.  I had to take some papers home to get signed by my husband and return them the next day.

So the next day I took the signed papers back and gave them to a different woman.  She was so nice!  She was as different as night and day from the one I had the day before.  One person can ruin your day while another one can make it so much nicer!  I'm the kind of person who is nice to everybody but some people make it kind of hard.

  1. I definitely think that exceptional customer service is a must when dealing with customers face to face. I once went into Walgreens and the woman at the register did not say one word to me (not even my total, I had to ask and she replied with no kindness at all. She ripped the receipt out of the register and gave it to me with out a thank you or goodbye. So I put on the biggest smile and said in a "fake" uppidy voice "Thank you sooooo much for your help and I hope you have a magical day!!!" Then rolled my eyes and walked out.

  3. Mean people are miserable. Literally. I agree with Sugar Plums about not stooping to their level and rising above.

Most people who are that mean are unhappy in their lives and it's a great opportunity to show them unexpected kindness. Kindness is contagious and sometimes it only takes one person to change someone's attitude.

  4. Found you on the MeloMomma blog hop. So sorry you had this happen. I was planning to write a similar post because I've had the worst "customer service" over the last week! The other day I had to call the office of an oral surgeon because of a problem with work he did on my mouth, and the woman I spoke to was beyond rude. I asked to speak to someone else and she would not get off the phone--all she was concerned with was my insurance info. I finally told her I was not giving her any insurance info and that she needed to worry more about whether the Dr. she worked for was doing his job correctly than billing my insurance! Glad your second experience at the bank was a better one :)

  7. That terrible! I hate rude people like that. I would give the manager a call though. I worked as a teller when I was younger and that behavior is not tolerated. I use to have people wait in line just to get me:) There are too many nice people that need jobs! Let the mean ones sit at home;) I am a new follower. I found you at One Moment In Time ~Angi
