Vibrant Hair With #Proganix Anti-Fade Hair Care

Disclosure: I received free samples in exchange for review purposes. However, all opinions expressed here are my own and yours may differ.

I was recently excited to be gifted with a beautiful pink basket of products for my hair from Proganix!

 Included was:
Proganix anti-fade shampoo with antioxidant + uv protection
Proganix anti-fade conditioner with antioxidant + uv protection
Proganix anti-fade weightless argan oil + uv protection
Plus some other great hair jewelry and goodies

All of the bottles (shampoo, conditioner and argan oil) have a shiny pink label which really attracted my attention right away. They also have a wonderful scent which is so appealing! I learned from Proganix that this line includes cherry blossom extract and UV filters. Since the products are called anti-fade this is perfect for me since I highlight my hair regularly. When you get your hair colored you want it to last and stay protected from the elements.

Washing my hair was fun using the Proganix anti-fade shampoo. It comes in a huge 8.5 tube size and is easy to use with the flip-top cap. It only takes a small amount for me since my hair isn't real long but on the shorter side. The shampoo is thicker and rich! It lathers up nicely and rinses out thoroughly with the lovely fragrance.

After washing my hair I added a small dab of the Proganix anti-fade conditioner to my hair which smelled as good as the shampoo. Like the shampoo, the conditioner comes in an 8.5 oz. tube with a flip-top cap. I worked the creamy conditioner through my hair, making sure to go to the ends. Then waited a few minutes before rinsing and towel dried my hair. I could feel how smooth and silky my hair was feeling already.

After towel drying my hair I was on to the Proganix weightless argan oil. This comes in a 3.3 fl. oz. pump dispenser container which is easy to mist on your hair. I spritzed it evenly over my hair and then blow dried it as usual. It doesn't weigh my hair down, but leaves my hair silky smooth with no fly-aways to deal with.

I'm very pleased with how these products have worked on making my hair look and feel vibrant and conditioned! Along with the amazing shampoo, conditioner and weightless argan oil, I received some beautiful hair accessories. These included a Kitch hair chain, bun pin, hair ties, hair clip, and head wrap. I'm planning on giving these to my daughter for a gift. She has long hair and will love using these awesome items!

A big thanks goes out to the folks at Proganix for these great products!

Cheap Highlights!

Cheap Highlights!

I've found a way to get cheap highlights, haircuts and anything else you need to get done to your hair. I have been going to a cosmetology school for about a year and a half now and have saved quite a bit of money. They also do pedicures, manicures and massages for a reasonable cost.

I have been taking my mother to get her hair done every week for a few years so thought I would give the place a try. What's the worst they could do to my hair, I thought. My hair grows fast anyways and if they don't do it the way I like, I get someone else the next time.

Well, I am pretty pleased with going to the school for my hair. I get my hair highlighted about every couple of months or sooner since my hair grows like a weed! I've gotten to know some of the girls that are going to school there and it's kind of fun to chat with young girls and hear about their lives. When the girls are getting ready to graduate I usually start trying out a couple other girls to see how they do.

Yesterday I had my hair highlighted and cut. My hair in the back wasn't as light as I wanted it so I'm going back on Thursday to get it a bit more highlighted. I checked first and there won't be any charge for it.

The girls usually have to get their work checked by the instructor so they can give the student any suggestions. If they need to trim a bit more they tell them and show them if they missed something.

Before going to the beauty school I would pay $50 for highlights and a haircut at the other salon I went to (the price probably is higher by now since  it's been over a year and a half). Now I only pay $23 (just went up to $25 for a highlight) plus $6 for a haircut. I actually like my hair a lot better than before. The students at the beauty school show me a color chart for the shades of hair I can choose from. They also take their time because they aren't usually in a rush. They do take appointments but if something comes up you might get a girl you didn't make an appointment with.

If you have a cosmetology school near you this might be for you!

• 500ml/17.6 fl oz Intense Hydration Hair Mask

My Review:  This past Spring I had the wonderful opportunity to review NAAT Treatment Repair Care by NuNAAT. I really liked how these products made my hair more healthy, soft and better looking. Recently, I was approached again by the same company to try a brand new collection of products called NAAT Garlic Magic Collection!

The first thing I thought of when I heard the word "garlic", well to me it didn't sound very appealing. But then I read that there is no garlic smell. Hmm, I was  still skeptic about it.

When I received my NAAT Collection the first thing I did was take the cap off and took a whiff of the products and guess what?! They all smell so amazingly great with a fresh, clean scent! Now I couldn't wait to try them all out. By the way, the bottles all are in my favorite color, which is purple! The caps are a lighter shade, like a lavender. So that was a great start!

I was going to start growing my hair out but decided that I didn't like the "grow out" stage so now am back to the short hair that is easier to take care of anyways. Also, I don't think I look good with longer hair anyways. I just got my hair highlighted before I started with the NAAT Garlic Magic Collection so it was good timing.

First of all I started with the NAAT Garlic Magic Shampoo and like I said, it smelled divine. I liked how it makes my hair feels squeaky clean after washing it. After washing my hair I rinse it thoroughly.

NAAT Garlic Magic Conditioner:  I used this after washing my hair and applied it generously, as the bottle states. Then I made sure all my hair got massaged with the conditioner and let it stand for 2 minutes. Afterwards, I rinsed it out and towel dried my hair. Easy as pie!

NAAT Garlic Hair Mask:  As states on this container, this NAAT Garlic Hair Mask deeply moisturizes and strengthens hair from the roots. I applied some of this product on my hair generously, as the container states. Then I worked it into my hair very thoroughly. After waiting about 15-20 minutes I rinsed it out real good.

NAAT Garlic Magic Leave-In:  This product is something that you can put in your hair after washing and using the conditioner. Put some as needed on your hair, as the bottle states. You don't have to rinse this product out of your hair. Then just comb or style.

Here are the Results:

Before Using NAAT Garlic Magic Collection

I have used the NAAT Garlic Magic Collection for a little over 2 weeks and I am  pleased with the results! My hair is softer and feels so smooth and silky. The picture below my highlights have grown out since my hair really grew.

Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics - {Review}

Disclosure:  I received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster.

Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics - {Review}

Being a member of Influenster I recently got to try a neat product for the hair called Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics.  These are cute little ribbon elastic hair ties.  You could use these for various hair styles, such as pony tails or braids, even put them on your wrist if you want to.

The Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics are comfortable and very stretchy.  They have a little tie at the end and come in five different colors.  I like the purple one because that is my favorite color.  The other colors are black, reddish, brownish, and silver/gray color I would say.

I have rather short hair but these hair ties did not fall out of my hair.  They also do not tug at your hair or pull, so you don't rip your hair off but using them.  They don't hurt your hair at all, so that's a big plus in my book!  These are very comfortable and stylish looking too.

If you would like to learn more about the Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics go to their website at Goody.com.  They run from $3.99 to $4.99.
