Charlie's Angels The Complete Series

My Thoughts:

The Charlie's Angels The Complete Series is a 20 disc set which is in blu-ray form. The first box includes discs 1-10 and the second includes discs 11-20.

I remember in the 1970's when the new television series started about three beautiful young women who were private detectives. It was call "Charlie's Angels" and was so different from any other detective show that had been on in the past. You never had seen a show like this because all the other detectives shows previously were men. 

The young women that first starred in the series were Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson. They always got their assignments from a boss named "Charlie" (who was never seen but only heard on an intercom). Charlie's voice was played by a popular actor from years earlier named John Forsythe.

Another actor named David Doyle was also in the series. He portrayed a kind of go to man that the girls went to for their information and questions about their assignments. He was kind of like a father figure to them.

Of course, you may know that Farrah Fawcett was the most popular of the "Angels" and it was surprising when she left the show after a year or so. I really didn't like the show as much after Farrah left because she was always the favorite of mine, but it was still a pretty good series. 

Farrah was replaced by Cheryl Ladd who portrayed Farrah's younger sister in the show. Cheryl Ladd was also a blonde and was a very attractive young woman.

A few years later Kate Jackson quit the series and was replaced by Shelly Hack, in 1979. Actually I didn't watch many episodes when she entered the series. It just didn't seem interesting to me any more and seemed rather boring.

I actually didn't know that Shelly Hack didn't pan out in the show and was replaced by an actress named Tonya Roberts. The show didn't last long after she was hired and had run out of steam, in my opinion. It just wasn't the same as when it had started, and wasn't fun to watch any more.

The entire run of the series was 5 years so it was a pretty long run for the show. All in all it was a blast from the past watching some of these old shows and how it used to be in the good old 70's when the show first started.
