Honey Apple Pie (It's Delicious and My Mom's Recipe)

Pastry For One Crust
One 9" Pie Shell
1/2 Cup Sugar
3 Tbsp. All Purpose Flour
1/4 Cup Honey
1/3 Cup Heavy Cream
4 Cups Tart Apples, Peeled, Cored and Cut in Thick Slices
1/2 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1/4 Tsp. Ground Nutmeg
1 Tbsp. Butter

Roll our pastry and line a 9" pie pan.  Make a fluted edge or crimp the edges.  Sprinkle bottom of pastry shell evenly with 1 tbsp. each of sugar and flour.  Combine remaining sugar and flour; stir in honey and cream.  Pour mixture over apples; mix gently until slices are well coated.  Spoon into pie shell.  Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg; dot with butter.  Bake in a hot oven 375 degrees or 350 degrees depending on your oven about 45 minutes or until apples are baked.

  1. I like the design of your top crust. I like apple pie, but haven't made it in awhile. Now that it's almost Fall, it's a good time for apple pie.

    1. Thank you Brenda! I know... Fall is the time for apple pie and making desserts. I usually don't do any or much baking in the summer months.
