Mother's Day is May 12, and it makes me so proud to be a mom to three beautiful kids.  Thankfully, I am so happy to have a mom who is like a best friend to me too.

My mom lives two houses from me and lives alone, since my dad passed on 13 years ago.   Mom is 84 years old now and still gets around pretty good, although she can't walk as good as she used to.  She had a back operation that didn't work out and it affected her nerve in one leg.   That doesn't stop her from wanting to go away though. We go shopping for groceries together (she drives the Amigo)  and I take her to the beauty shop every week to get her hair done.   She likes to joke around and we laugh about goofy stuff, just like teenagers.
