Are you Momnificent?... A Review and Giveaway
Win an Autographed Copy of The Momnificent! Life by Lori Radun, your guide to healthy and magnificent living for busy moms.
I don’t know if you’ve been to the self-help section of your local bookstore recently, but if you have you will know how out of control the category is and how it almost warrants a whole entire store to itself or at least a self-help book on how to choose a self-help title. As a new mom, I was overwhelmed with all the choices and really didn’t know where to start as far as guidance for the first year or for help remembering who I was as a person… you know, before I had kids. There literally is a self-help book for everything you can think of. Heck, there’s probably a book about writing book reviews for blogs but I think it’s pretty clear I haven’t read that. And you can bet I haven’t read the other 83 million titles, either. With so many titles out there for such specific circumstances, I had pretty much decided to go it alone and just get through the first 18 months as best I could and then focus on myself later.
When Lori Radun contacted me and asked me to review her new book The Momnificent! Life, I was thrilled to be introduced to a book geared for moms of all ages with kids of all ages. Her book is divided into 8 sections which focus on specific subtopics that help you reevaluate your whole life as a person - and as a mom. I found the section about Life Balance to be particularly interesting to me as I was struggling to find time for anything that was purely for me and instead was focusing all of my energy on my baby, family and on keeping up at work while struggling with sleepless nights and all the fear and worry that comes with the title of “mama”.
Price: $19.95
Looks: Like a book, naturally
Overall: A small investment you can make into making your busy life more simple, relaxed and ultimately more fun for you and your children.
