Kitchen Hero Silicone Gloves ~ Review + GIVEAWAY!

Do you use pot holders for taking hot pans out of the oven or off the stove? If you've ever done any cooking before I would imagine the answer is "yes"!  I have used a variety of oven mitts and pot holders over the years. Right now I have some that are so thin that I have to use two to make sure I don't burn my hands.

When I had the chance to try out Kitchen Hero Silicone Gloves I jumped at the chance! I've heard of silicone gloves before but really didn't know much about them. The gloves I received are bright red in color and are very heavy duty and durable. I've learned that they are great for a variety of household tasks and more. Not just for cooking!

I used the silicone gloves for taking some hot kettles off of the stove and there was a slight warm feeling through the gloves, but that's it. There was no problem of burning my hands or fingers. I also used them for opening a jar of tomatoes that I canned last summer and couldn't get open. They are really flexible so you can get a nice grip which made it so much easier to open the jar.

I've also been using them for washing dishes and love not getting dish-pan hands. My hands tend to get eczema from having them in water for a long period of time so the gloves really came in handy for this. Scrubbing my bathtub was also easier because I didn't have to touch those harsh cleansers on my bare hands. Guess I'll be doing a lot more cleaning since I have these awesome gloves!

I have smaller hands and these gloves fit me alright. with even a bit of room to spare in them.  My husband has medium sized hands. He tried them on and they fit him nicely. He can't wait to try these gloves out when the snow melts around here and grilling season begins. They would also be nice for outdoor cleaning jobs like washing the car (or even your dog) because of their dexterity and superb grip.

The company states this important message about Kitchen Hero Silicone Gloves:

These gloves ARE NOT FOR YOU: If you have XL or XXL size hands, need to hold things over 425° for more than 20 seconds, If grabbing a broiler pan which will heat to over 425°

I like that these gloves don't have an odor and are mold-free, unlike your regular cloth oven mitts or pot holders that tend to get grungy after awhile. They are also FDA Approved, BPA-Free and 100% Food Grade Silicone. To clean them all you do is use soapy warm water. You can even put them in the dishwasher if you like.

I'm going to be using these silicone gloves all around the household from now on. They would be a nice gift for anyone! I'm thinking....Easter or Mother's Day gift? You may purchase them on Amazon right now for $24.97.

  7. I have a silicone mitt, but not a glove with individual figers. The biggest advantage to the silicone is being able to rinse it clean.
