I participated in the Neil Diamond Melody Road album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided a free album to review but all opinions are my own.
Loving Neil Diamond's New Album - Melody Road #MelodyRoad #020
I'm just about sure everybody has heard of Neil Diamond, who is one of the world's best selling artists of all time. With a highly renowned career in his lifetime, Neil has had so many wonderful hits that always make me feel so good to hear! I love so many of Neil's classic songs....such as "Sweet Caroline", "Play Me", "Holly Holy", and "America", to name just a few. In fact, Neil has had 37 Top 40 single hits in his career and has had an impressive 16 Top ten albums in the U.S.
Neil is a grammy award winning artist who has been bestowed numerous high achievements. Some of those include being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriter Hall of Fame, Sammy Cahn Lifetimetime Achievement Award, a Golden Globe Award, 13 Grammy nominations, and 2009 NARAS's MusiCares Person of the Year award. For his lifetime of contributions to American culture he received the prestigious Kennedy Center Honor in 2011.
Well, I have some very exciting news that I'm so proud to share! Neil Diamond has finished a brand new album, Melody Road, which is going to be released on October 21st! This is his first album since signing with Capitol Records and also is Neil's first original studio release in six years. Don Was and Jacknife Lee who are acclaimed producers in themselves, co-produced the album.
Recently I had the pleasure to listen to every song in the new album and can't get enough of it! I've been listening to this album over and over again! Melody Road is such a beautiful album with so much passion and love that you can hear in each song. It is most definitely sure to be a hit with anyone who is a fan (like me) and is bound to make some new fans along the way. The songs on the new album include the following:
Melody Road
First Time
Seongah and Jimmy
Something Blue
Nothing But A Heartache
In Better Days
Ooh Do I Wanna Be Yours
Alone At The Ball
Sunny Disposition
Marry Me Now
The Art of Love
Melody Road (Reprise)
It's really hard to pick some of my favorites because all of the songs on Melody Road are so great! One of the songs on the new album, "Something Blue" is such an upbeat and happy song that will make you feel good, especially if you are feeling a bit down. It is sure to lift your spirits. Check it out:
I'm just a romantic at heart and a loving heartfelt song from the album that really got to me was "Ooh Do I Wanna Be Yours". Neil's voice is so sultry and sexy; and the lyrics are so very poetic. Another favorite of mine is "The Art of Love" which is an emotional and passonionate song which I really enjoy so much. You can watch a video with "The Art of Love" below:
Awesome news! Melody of Love is now available for pre-order at Amazon.com and iTunes. Pre-orders will get a code that will give fans early access to purchase concert tickets for 2015 tour. Yes that is right! To coincide with his new album, Neil Diamond has announced that he is going on tour in 2015. How exciting is that! I am planning on seeing Neil in concert for the first time next year and am so excited!
