I've become more concerned about the environment and have been trying to do my part to keep from having too much trash. I try to recycle as much as possible and love the idea of reusable straws. Just think of all the straws that people use once and just toss them away.
Eco at Heart Stainless Steel Drinking Straws are a wonderful new product that I recently had the pleasure to try out. These are fine quality straws that are made of stainless steel so they won't bend or break. I think drinks taste better by using these straws instead of plastic ones also.
The straws are 8 and 1/2 inches long and are 3/8 inches in diameter so they are not skinny straws. They would be great for smoothies, shakes or whatever your heart desires. You get 5 straws in the box and they come with a nice long bristle brush that you can clean the straws with which is an added plus.
To clean I rinse my straws out right away after using and use the brush to make sure nothing gets stuck inside. That way nothing gets dried inside of them. I don't personally have a dishwasher but the Eco at Heart Stainless Steel Straws are safe for dishwashers if you have one.

I love the idea of not having to buy any more plastic straws. It's nice using 'green' straws and also good for the environment. The straws are BPA free and also FDA certified.
