Disclosure: I received sample to review and opinions are my own.

Golden Blossom Honey - Review and Giveaway!!

A little about Golden Blossom Honey from their website:

In 1929, iconic Golden Blossom Honey, (http://www.goldenblossomhoney.com) was created by John H. Paton. His father, John G. Paton, had initially developed a bulk honey business on the West Coast. After several years of development, John G. moved the company in order to take advantage of prosperity and opportunities to be created in the Northeast. In 1932, the Golden Blossom brand was introduced to the public. It was not long before Golden Blossom Honey became a household name with market share reaching over 60 percent in the metropolitan New York market.

If you haven't heard of Golden Blossom Honey before, you are missing out!  Recently I was delighted to be able to try this delectable honey which came in a cute little bear bottle.

Golden Blossom is such a wonderful tasting honey and is really unlike other brands that I have tried before.  It is made with a secret recipe blend of orange, sage buckwheat, and extra white clover honeys.  This tasty honey is so delightful and yummy!

I enjoy honey for a variety of purposes, like putting some in my tea or on English muffins.  My mom has a recipe for baked beans which uses honey and they are delicious.  Another wonderful recipe I make is called Honey Apple Pie, which is the best apple pie you can get, according to my family!  I have the recipe on this blog if you want to try it.

Since trying Golden Blossom I'm finding myself using honey more often.   I'm so happy to have found out about it!  Did you know that honey never spoils?  I learned this and many other facts on their website.

Golden Blossom Honey has a ton of recipes on their website for food that are delicious sounding!  They also have recipes for facial masks and hair which I thought sounded interesting to try out.   Shown below is a recipe for Spiced Nuts which I am going to try out for the holidays.  It would be great for company or a party!

Spiced Nuts

Ingredients
1 (10 ounce) package pecan or walnut halves
2 Tablespoons butter
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 Tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
1 teaspoon salt

Directions
Preheat oven to 400°. Place nuts in medium bowl. Melt butter in small saucepan. Add cumin and cayenne. Stir until combined. Pour over nuts. Add honey and salt. Stir to coat. Transfer to baking pan. Bake in a single layer until nuts are toasted, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Serve warm, or at room temperature. Store in an airtight container. Yield: 2 ½ cups.
